Getting Paid
Setting up your payout method, understanding fees, and tracking earnings.
Platform Fee
SpaceLoud takes a 25% platform fee from influencer earnings.
When you complete a booking, 25% goes to SpaceLoud and you receive 75% of the agreed amount. This fee covers payment processing, platform maintenance, and support services.
Payout Methods
SpaceLoud offers three payout options: Stripe, Stripe Global Payments, and PayPal (only in countries where Stripe isn't available).

What's the difference between Stripe and Stripe Global Payments? Both are powered by Stripe with no extra fees. Stripe (Express) is available in 43 countries and gives you access to a full Stripe dashboard. Stripe Global Payments extends support to dozens of additional countries where Stripe Express isn't available, paying directly to your local bank account.
Example:
- $100 booking → You receive $75 with any payout method
Why is my payout less than the campaign price? The amount shown on a campaign or offer is the total price the artist pays — your payout is always 75% of that after SpaceLoud's 25% platform fee. For example, a $20 booking pays you $15, not $20. Your dashboard's earnings total already reflects your 75% share.
"My dashboard shows I got paid, but I don't see the money." Earnings are marked as paid once the artist approves your work — but funds can only be sent out once you have a payout method connected. If you haven't connected Stripe or PayPal yet, go to Settings → Payments and connect one now; your existing earnings will be paid out once it's set up.
Setting Up Stripe (Recommended)
Stripe is the recommended payout method. When you connect, SpaceLoud automatically selects the right Stripe option for your country — either Stripe Express or Stripe Global Payments.
How to Connect
- Go to Settings → Payments
- Click "Connect with Stripe"
- Confirm your country in the popup
- You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding
- Complete the verification process
- Return to SpaceLoud once finished
What You'll Need
- Government-issued ID
- Bank account details
- Social Security Number (US) or equivalent tax ID
- Business information (if applicable)
Verification Timeline
- Most accounts are verified instantly
- Some may require additional documents
- Stripe will email you if more info is needed
- Typically 1-2 business days for full verification
Supported Countries
SpaceLoud supports Stripe payments in 117 countries across two tiers:
Stripe Express Countries (43 countries)
These countries get the full Stripe Express experience with a Stripe dashboard:
North America: United States, Canada, Mexico
Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

These countries receive payouts directly to a local bank account via Stripe Global Payments:

Not in a Supported Country?
If your country isn't listed above (for example Brazil or Ukraine), you can still get paid via PayPal — see "Setting Up PayPal" below. You can also contact hello@spaceloud.com to discuss options — we're always working to add more countries.
How Do I Know Which Type I Have?
You don't need to choose — SpaceLoud automatically selects the right option based on your country:
- If your country supports Stripe Express, you'll get a Stripe Express account with a full dashboard
- If your country supports Stripe Global Payments, you'll see a notice during setup that says "Payments to your country use Stripe Global Payments"
- Your payment settings page will show either "Stripe" or "Stripe Global Payments" so you always know which type you're using
Setting Up PayPal
PayPal is available only in countries where Stripe isn't supported. If Stripe is available in your country, you'll use Stripe — the PayPal option won't appear in your settings.
How to Connect
- Go to Settings → Payments
- Enter your PayPal email address
- Save your settings
- You're all set!
How PayPal Payouts Work
PayPal payouts are sent weekly rather than instantly:
- Your earnings are tracked as soon as your work is approved
- We process the PayPal queue every Friday — any earnings approved before then are sent to your PayPal email
- After processing, payments can take up to 7 days to arrive
- Make sure the email you enter matches your PayPal account exactly
How Payments Work
Payment Flow
- Artist Books You - Payment is held in escrow
- You Create Content - Complete and post your content
- You Submit Work - Submit your social media link
- Artist Approves - They review within 48 hours
- Payment Released - Funds sent to your payout account
When You Get Paid
Payment is released when:
- Artist approves all your submitted work
- OR the 48-hour auto-approval timer expires
Either way, you get paid!
The 48-Hour Guarantee
If an artist doesn't review your work within 48 hours:
- Work is automatically approved
- Payment is released to you
- This ensures you always get paid for completed work
Payment Timing
- Released when work is approved/auto-approved
- Direct transfer to your connected payout account (Stripe or PayPal)
- Stripe Express: Arrives in 2-5 business days (depends on your bank)
- Stripe Global Payments: Arrives in 2-5 business days (depends on your country and bank)
- PayPal: Processed weekly on Fridays — can take up to 7 days to arrive after processing
Challenge Prize Payments
When you win a challenge, the payment flow works differently from campaign bookings.
How Prize Payouts Work
- The artist announces winners after the challenge ends
- You receive a congratulations email with your prize details
- Prize payments are processed to your connected Stripe account within a few business days of the announcement
PayPal recipients: Challenge prizes are paid via Stripe. If your country isn't supported by Stripe, contact hello@spaceloud.com so we can arrange your payment.
If Your Prize Hasn't Arrived
If your prize hasn't arrived within 5 business days of the winner announcement:
- Check your Stripe account or bank account for pending deposits
- Make sure your Stripe account is fully connected and verified (go to Settings → Payments)
- Use the Claim Missing Payment tool to submit an inquiry — our team will investigate and follow up
Tracking Your Earnings
Dashboard Overview
Your earnings dashboard shows:
- Pending - Work submitted, awaiting approval
- In Progress - Active bookings
- Completed - Paid transactions
- Total Earnings - Lifetime earnings on SpaceLoud
Payment History
View detailed history including:
- Artist name
- Campaign details
- Amount earned
- Payment date
- Transaction status
Viewing Your Payouts in Stripe
For a detailed breakdown of deposits, upcoming payouts, and tax documents, you can open your Stripe account directly from SpaceLoud:
- Go to Settings → Payments
- In the Stripe section, click "View Stripe Dashboard" (or "Manage Bank Details" if you're on Stripe Global Payouts)
If you're on Stripe Express (43 supported countries), the Stripe dashboard shows:
- Payout history and expected arrival dates
- Account balance and pending transfers
- Bank account details
- Tax forms (1099 for US influencers)
If you're on Stripe Global Payouts (74 additional countries), clicking "Manage Bank Details" lets you update your bank account information. Payout details for Global Payouts are tracked inside SpaceLoud rather than a standalone Stripe dashboard — your earnings dashboard above is the source of truth.
Troubleshooting
Payment Not Received
If your payment is delayed:
For Stripe (Express or Global Payments):
- Check your Stripe account or bank account for pending deposits
- Verify your bank details are correct
- Look for any Stripe verification requests via email
- Allow 2-5 business days after release
Got an email saying your payout couldn't be sent? If your Stripe account is connected but missing a payout destination (a bank account or debit card), SpaceLoud automatically emails you fix-it instructions as soon as a payout fails — you don't need to wait or contact support first. Follow the link in that email to Settings → Payments, add your bank account or debit card in Stripe, and your payout will be sent automatically once it's added.
For PayPal:
- Remember PayPal payouts are processed weekly on Fridays — allow up to 7 days after the Friday they're processed
- Verify your PayPal email is correct in SpaceLoud settings
- Check your PayPal account balance and notifications for any holds
Still Missing After 5+ Days
Use our Claim Missing Payment tool to submit an inquiry. We'll automatically investigate the issue by checking payment records, Stripe transfers, and your account setup. You'll receive an email with findings and next steps.

- Campaign/booking ID
- Expected payment amount
- Date work was approved

Can't Set Up Stripe
If you're having trouble:
- Check email for Stripe verification requests
- Ensure all required info is provided
- Try a different browser
- Contact Stripe support directly
- Email hello@spaceloud.com if issues persist
Stripe Opening in the Wrong Country
When connecting Stripe, some users notice it opens with a different country than expected (e.g., US instead of Brazil).
Why This Happens:
Your Stripe account country is determined when you first click "Connect with Stripe" based on the location in your SpaceLoud profile. Once created, Stripe accounts cannot change their country—this is a Stripe platform limitation.
This occurs if you:
- First connected Stripe without setting your country (defaults to US)
- Changed your SpaceLoud location after first connecting Stripe
How to Fix It:
- Update your location in Settings → Edit Profile to your correct country
- Go to Settings → Payments
- Click "Disconnect Stripe" to disconnect your current account
- Click "Connect with Stripe" again
- Stripe will now open with your correct country
- Complete the onboarding for your country
Important Notes:
- You must set your correct country before clicking "Connect with Stripe"
- Each country has different requirements (e.g., Brazil requires CPF, US requires SSN)
- If you've already received payments to your old account, contact hello@spaceloud.com before disconnecting
Work Submitted But No Payment
Check the status in your dashboard:
- Final Review - Waiting for artist (48-hour timer running)
- Revision Requested - Artist needs changes (resubmit)
- Completed - Payment should be in your account
Tax Information
Your Responsibilities
- Keep records of all earnings
- You may receive tax forms (1099 in the US)
- SpaceLoud doesn't provide tax advice
- Consult a tax professional for guidance

Download payment records from your dashboard for tax purposes.
