Creating Your First Campaign

Launch a successful music promotion campaign on SpaceLoud.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • A released song (Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or other streaming platform)
  • An active subscription (or use your 14-day free trial)
  • A payment method on file

Choose Your Promotion Type

From the Artist Dashboard, click "Create Promotion" to see your options (on mobile, tap the "+" button at the center of the bottom menu):

Campaign ($10 minimum)

  • Receive personalized offers from influencers
  • Accept, decline, or counter any offer
  • Only pay when your song is promoted
  • Full control over who promotes your music

Before you launch a campaign, know this: if influencers send offers and you don't accept any of them within 7 days (or before you end the campaign early), a $25 engagement fee applies. This respects the time influencers spend reviewing your campaign and writing personalized offers. It's never charged if you accept an offer, or if your campaign simply doesn't receive any offers. See the Payments & Billing guide for full details.

Challenge ($250 minimum)

  • Launch a competition where influencers compete to feature your song
  • Set prize rules and reward the most creative videos
  • 35+ creators typically participate
  • Great for viral content potential

Running a Challenge

Challenges work differently from campaigns—instead of accepting individual offers, you're running a competition.

How It Works

  1. Set your total prize budget ($250 minimum)
  2. Define how many winners and prize amounts
  3. Influencers create and submit content featuring your song
  4. After the challenge ends, you pick the winners

Picking Winners

When selecting winners, consider:

  • Creativity - Which posts are most unique and engaging?
  • Quality - Who put the most effort into production?
  • Volume - Some creators make multiple posts showing extra dedication

Note: The leaderboard updates every 24-48 hours with the latest engagement stats.

Editing Your Challenge Description

If your challenge is already live and you need to update the brief or instructions that creators see, you can do that yourself without contacting support.

  1. Open your challenge from the Artist Dashboard
  2. Click the "Edit description" button (pencil icon) near the top of the challenge page
  3. Make your changes in the editor
  4. Click "Save changes"

The updated instructions are visible to creators immediately. Note that only the description can be changed after launch — the sound, prizes, and platform are locked.

After the Challenge Ends

Winners are announced shortly after you make your selections. Prize payments are processed to the winning influencers' Stripe accounts within a few business days.

Creating a Campaign

Step 1: Add Your Song

  1. Paste your music link (Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, etc.)
  2. SpaceLoud automatically fetches song details (title, artist, artwork)
  3. If the link can't be recognized, you can proceed with manual entry

Step 2: Add Special Requests (Optional)

Add specific instructions for influencers:

  • "Use the chorus in your video"
  • "Dance video preferred"
  • "Tag my Instagram @yourhandle"

Step 3: Select Platforms & Set Budgets

Choose which platforms you want content on:

PlatformContent TypeMin Budget
TikTokShort-form video$10
Instagram ReelsShort-form video$10
Instagram Stories24-hour stories$10
YouTubeLong-form video$10
YouTube ShortsShort-form video$10
SnapchatStory format$10

Budget range: $10 - $2,000 per platform

Step 3b: Select Curator Placements (Optional)

You can also request curator placements for your campaign. Select which types of placements you're looking for:

  • Spotify Playlist — Get added to curated Spotify playlists
  • Apple Music Playlist — Get added to Apple Music playlists
  • Blog — Get featured on music blogs and review sites
  • YouTube Music Playlist — Get added to curated YouTube music playlists
  • Other — Any other curation platform

Curators with matching channels will see your preferences and can send offers. Curator pricing is fixed by the curator ($2-$5 per channel) — you select or deselect channels but don't set the price.

Step 3c: Campaign Autopilot (On by Default)

Campaign Autopilot automatically accepts qualifying offers for you, using data from thousands of campaigns to accept strong influencers at good prices — so you don't have to review every offer as it comes in. It's on by default for new campaigns with a $250 budget pre-filled.

How it works:

  • Autopilot only accepts offers priced at or below the rates you set for each platform — never above them
  • It stops accepting once your Autopilot budget is spent
  • Curator channel offers are never auto-accepted — those always need your manual review
  • You'll get an email summary whenever Autopilot accepts offers on your behalf

To turn it off or change the budget:

  • On this step, toggle "Auto-accept offers" off (or adjust the budget) before creating your campaign
  • Already created your campaign? Open it from your Artist Dashboard, click into the campaign, and update the Campaign Autopilot card in the details drawer at any time — turning it off means you'll review every offer manually going forward

If a payment fails: Autopilot pauses for that campaign until you update your payment method — it won't keep trying to accept offers it can't charge for.

Step 4: Create Campaign

  1. Review the progress indicator showing your campaign strength
  2. Click "Create Campaign"
  3. Your campaign goes live immediately
  4. Influencers can start sending offers right away

What Happens Next

After launching your campaign:

  1. Your campaign runs for 2 weeks automatically
  2. Influencers browse your campaign and send personalized offers
  3. If Campaign Autopilot is on, qualifying offers are accepted automatically up to your budget
  4. You receive email notifications when offers come in (and a summary whenever Autopilot accepts on your behalf)
  5. Review any remaining offers in your dashboard under "Needs Attention"
  6. Accept, decline, or counter any offer - you're always in control

Why Did I Get Several Offers Right Away?

It's normal to see multiple offers within minutes of launching a campaign. Influencers actively browse new campaigns as soon as they go live, and many have their rates and pitch messages ready to send quickly. Every offer comes from a real person choosing to apply — SpaceLoud doesn't generate automated or bot offers on your behalf. Take your time reviewing each one; there's no need to accept quickly just because offers arrived fast.

How to End a Campaign

You can end a campaign at any time:

  1. Go to your Artist Dashboard
  2. Find your campaign in the "Active" tab
  3. Click on the campaign to open details
  4. Click "Edit Campaign"
  5. Click "End Campaign" (red button)

What happens when you end:

  • Campaign is immediately removed from influencer view
  • No new offers can be sent
  • Existing accepted offers continue normally

Campaign Engagement Fee

A $25 engagement fee applies if your campaign receives offers but you don't accept any. This fee exists to respect creators' time - when influencers take time to review your campaign and craft personalized offers, we want to ensure that effort isn't wasted.

When the fee is charged:

  • At the 7-day checkpoint: If offers were received but none accepted
  • When you manually end a campaign: If offers were received but none accepted (and you weren't already charged at day 7)

How to avoid the fee:

  • Accept at least one offer before day 7
  • Or don't receive any offers (no fee if no one sends you an offer)

If payment fails: Your campaign will be removed. Update your payment method to create new campaigns.

Tips for Success

  • Be Specific - Clear descriptions attract better offers
  • Set Realistic Budgets - Research typical influencer rates for your genre
  • Respond Quickly - Influencers appreciate fast responses
  • Be Open-Minded - Great content can come from unexpected creators
