Reviewing & Approving Content

Best practices for reviewing submitted content and providing feedback.

The 48-Hour Review Timer

Important: When an influencer submits all their work, you have 48 hours to review it. If you don't take action within 48 hours, the work is automatically approved and the influencer is paid.

How the Timer Works

  1. Timer starts when ALL platform work is submitted
  2. Status changes to "Final Review"
  3. You and the influencer both receive emails
  4. Timer counts down in real-time in your dashboard

Timer Display

  • 2+ days: "Auto-approves in X day(s)"
  • 1+ hours: "Auto-approves in X hour(s)"
  • < 1 hour: "Auto-approves in X minute(s)"

Urgency Colors

  • 🟢 Green (Normal): > 12 hours remaining
  • 🟠 Orange (Warning): 6-12 hours remaining
  • 🔴 Red (Urgent): < 6 hours remaining

What to Review

For each platform submission, check:

Required Elements

  • Social Media Link - Direct link to the post (required)

Content Quality

  • Song Usage - Is your music featured correctly?
  • Video Quality - Is the content well-produced?
  • Requirements Met - Did they follow your special requests?
  • Platform Guidelines - Does it follow platform rules?

Your Options Per Platform

Approve Individual Platform

  1. Click the social media link to view the post
  2. Verify the post is live and meets requirements
  3. Click "Approve" for that platform
  4. Influencer receives notification

Request Revision

If changes are needed:

  1. Click "Request Changes"
  2. Provide specific feedback explaining what needs fixing
  3. Platform status changes to "Revision Requested"
  4. Influencer must resubmit that platform
  5. Timer pauses until they resubmit

Note: You can request up to 2 revisions per platform. After that, the booking goes to 50/50 resolution.

Final Approval

Payment is released to the influencer when:

  • You approve ALL platforms individually
  • OR the 48-hour timer expires (auto-approval)

What Happens at Auto-Approval

If the timer expires without your review:

  • All pending submissions are automatically approved
  • Payment is released to the influencer
  • Both parties receive completion emails

Best Practices for Feedback

Be Specific

  • ✅ "Please make the song louder in the video"
  • ❌ "The audio needs adjustment"

Be Timely

  • Review submissions as soon as possible
  • Don't wait until the timer is almost expired
  • Influencers have posting schedules to maintain

Be Reasonable

  • Don't request changes outside the original scope
  • Respect the influencer's creative style
  • Remember they know their audience best

Reviewing Curator Submissions

If a booking includes curator channels (playlist placements, blog reviews, etc.), you'll review them separately from social media submissions.

What Curators Submit

For each curator channel, the curator provides:

  • Song Review — A written review of your track (minimum 50 characters)
  • Proof URL — A link showing your song on their channel (e.g., Spotify playlist link, blog post URL)
  • "Added to Channel" Confirmation — Confirms the song has been placed

Reviewing Each Channel

You can approve or decline each curator channel individually:

  • Approve — The placement meets your expectations
  • Request Changes — Provide specific feedback on what needs to be different

Revision limits: Up to 2 revisions per channel. After that, the booking goes to 50/50 resolution (same as social media platforms).

Hybrid Bookings

If a booking includes both social media platforms and curator channels, you review each type in its own section. The 48-hour auto-approval timer applies to the entire booking — both social and curator items must be reviewed (or they auto-approve together).

After Completion

Once work is approved (manually or auto-approved):

  • Payment is released to the influencer
  • Both parties receive completion emails
  • Booking moves to "Completed" section

Track Your Results

  • Monitor engagement and reach on the posts
  • Track increases in streams/followers
  • Note which influencers performed best
  • Consider rebooking high-performers for future releases
