Getting Paid as a Curator
Payment methods, per-channel pricing, and how curator earnings work.
How Curator Payments Work
Curator payments are calculated based on the channels included in each booking. Each channel has a fixed price ($2-$5) that you set when configuring your channels.
Example
If an artist books you for:
- Spotify Playlist — $4
- Blog Review — $3
Your total payout before fees is $7.
Platform Fee
SpaceLoud takes a 25% platform fee, the same as for influencer earnings.
| Booking Total | Platform Fee (25%) | You Receive |
|---|---|---|
| $5 | $1.25 | $3.75 |
| $10 | $2.50 | $7.50 |
| $15 | $3.75 | $11.25 |
Payout Methods
Curator payments use the same payout system as influencer payments:
- Stripe (Recommended) — No additional fees
- Stripe Global Payments — For countries without Stripe Express
- PayPal — +2% fee (capped at $2)
Setting Up Payments
If you haven't already connected a payment method:
- Go to Settings → Payments
- Click "Connect with Stripe"
- Complete Stripe's verification process
For full details, see Getting Paid.
When You Get Paid
Payment is released when:
- The artist approves all your curator channels
- OR the 48-hour auto-approval timer expires
Payment Timeline
- Artist approves your work → payment released
- Funds arrive in your Stripe account in 2-5 business days
Hybrid Bookings
If you have the "Both" role and a booking includes both social media platforms and curator channels, the payment includes both:
- Social media platform amounts (negotiated with the artist)
- Curator channel amounts (your fixed prices)
- 25% platform fee applies to the combined total
Tracking Earnings
View your earnings and payment history in your Influencer Dashboard. Completed bookings show the breakdown of what was paid for each channel and platform.
